2002-09-05 || 3:18 p.m. || whirlwind tour of utter exhaustion. || good heavens. i am so. hellaciously. tired. it has come to hourly coffee pickmeups and deliriously crying all over my burrito at lunchtime (sorry, ladies.). oh. dear. six days of stayin up late late late and i am ready to throw in the towel for a blankie. this weekend: five boys asleep on the carpet and owen huddled against the wall under a pink comforter. mid-day breakfasts and group shouting down telegraph avenue. long life three times in one weekend. hide and go seek in the record stores. seeing friends and rescuing tour vans and oh the heat and excitement. this weekend: my cobbler duelling to the death with brian's almond cake, scrabble under tiki torches at club mallard, lofty dreams of seven inches and fan sites and moustachioed alter egos. drinking warm beer with the antioch boys, turning one-handed cartwheels on dewy frontyardgrass. tuesday: walking to the restaurant down the street with bri and o and beck and sean. hooting and hollering and owen's barrywhitevoice (call my phone number right now! the dirtiest sexiest outgoing message, oh my word!). pitchers of margaritas and broken spanish and an informal refried bean fan club meeting, hooray. wednesday: my sister stopping in town. bri's homemade ice cream and cake in the sunny kitchen. handsister stories to no end. paying kelly twenty dollars to dance alone on the abandoned dance floor at matty's club, makin the mod laddies uncomfortable with her booty dancing (my sister, under a disco ball, in a self-made dress fashioned from a sheet, lip synching to the kinks and bending over to put both hands on the floor while her ass uh. shimmies to high heaven. my sissy, ladies and gentlemen!). gettin home altogether too late to lie in the dark with my favorite lady in the entire universe, absolutely lovely and funny as all hell. best. thing. ever. so. i am ready for a bit of a nap. let o-dawgy's message pick up any incoming calls. guestbook || notes || archives || profile || photos || d-land |
