|| countdown to the nyc ||

summertime = being best friends with sylvia plath and jd salinger. this year it's dreaming of good ol' jerome in a diner and trying to get him to show me his field hockey scars. catcher in the rye over and over to make notes and mark up maps for owen's and my upcoming new york adventure entitled 'Finding Holden Caulfield: An Exercise in Geeky Emo Superfandom of Fictitious albeit Hott Characters.' very excited about that.

i have never been to new york.

new york has always been scary and big and terribly skewed at a sex-and-the-city muppets-take-manhattan woody-allen angle. however, signs so far indicate my new new york perceptions will be aforementioned owen-adventures, kissing-on-new-york-secret-agent-lover-man-at-traffic-signals, lots-of-pizza-and-ice-cream and maybe sneaking-cigarettes-on-rooftops.

and finally getting to the bottom of h.c.'s burning question of where the ducks in the central park pond go in the wintertime.
