|| the oc is not just a show you know. ||

1. i went to disneyland. highlights include the game of 'i never' played while in the hour-and-a-half long line of the indiana jones ride, mint julips in new orleans square, the mad dash at 11:55pm to splash mountain to get one more in before having to leave, and being surrounded by a lovely ensemble cast never before assembled in southern california. regrets include dismaying traffic from santa barbara to anaheim, not getting into the park until well after 5:30, missing out on the much anticipated hand sister sandwich complete with mister 'creamy center' smith stuffed into a doom buggy in the haunted mansion, the odd sunburn that appeared on only the left side of my face, and forgetting the eye patches for most epic pirate o.t.c experience ever.

2. we stayed at my mum and dad's house, who had fled the scene so as to make room for the lot of us. they returned the next morning in time for everyone to get the hand family parental experience, complete with my mother's crazy mum vaudeville act performed while we all crowded the kitchen table eating fruit and fancy french toast kelly had made.

3. staying at mum and dad's equals lots and lots of cable. current favorite shows include while you were out, trading spaces, for better or for worse, what not to wear, and the anna nicole show. honorable mention to queer eye for the straight guy, although i find the 'cheers, queers' toast a bit obnoxious.

4. i got to go to the beach for the first time in ages and ages and have the weirdest armpit/bellybutton/ankle sunburn ever to show for it. there was a gnarly gnarly shorepound so kell and i couldn't properly go swimming. kell was able to rush out and rush back in, having been surfing for a week straight and acclimated to the Dangers of the Sea, but the crashing waves were those i always have nightmares about (thanks to the monstrous undertow of '91 that had me fumbling for the combination to davey jones' locker) and i just stood there for forty-five minutes trying to get up the nerve and imagining myself getting stuck in that and being washed ashore minus bathing suit top. because i'm the one that always happens to.

5. i honestly adore my sister, but you already know that.

6. countdown to new york = 15 days. most righteous new york excitable points include meeting up with owen, whom i love madly and adore with bestfriendy fervor and canNOT wait to see like crazy; the very romantic and righteous airport scene when i meet up with newyork sweetheart H, which hopefully includes a whole lot of feverish makin out and shameless displays of hottness; and cramming as many adventures as possible into five impossibly short short days. o how the compass of my heart points east.

7. there is much rumblings of upheaval where Life Decisions are concerned, but they are still rather nebulous and i don't want to go around speculatin and shit. but i think there might be some serious changes in the future. i am fairly certain this is all deeply rooted in my pretending not to be concerned about being twenty-seven, the perpetual dilemma of not Living Up To My Potential, and the pursuit of love and happiness and a nice place to hang my magical crashing waves pseudo-painting.

8. real real excited about number 6.

9. i think i really need a makeover, preferrably featured on some kind of talk show/aforementioned show on cable. or just a rilly good haircut and some new shoes.

10. this entry is way lame.
