2003-08-16 || 2:30 a.m. || like a hall of famous people, but more important. || i like to think there is this long narrow room with all the people who have influenced me lined up on each side like knights of museum figures or chess pieces. i want there to be buttons to press for each of them, and a spotlight will come on and music and animatronics and each figure will talk in a crackly amplified voice and move in that jerking mechanical way, like abraham lincoln at disneyland. i think you would be surprised at who is included in that room. i would like to name them but will save their embarrassment: ex-boyfriends and teachers and childhood friends, roommates and co-workers and owners of local grocery stores, authors and characters from my favorite books and a saint or two. i think you would be surprised. guestbook || notes || archives || profile || photos || d-land |
