|| music does make plants grow faster ||

it was so nice sitting on your living room floor with you. the air all funny and unfamiliar like we have never kissed, you have never been frustrated with me, i am still feeling good about things and feel like i have something to offer you. listening to the kinks and the shin(n)s, finding patterns and haunted parts and comparing the sounds. drinking the grape soda you keep in your refrigerator just for me. pulling cds and playing songs, parts of songs, letting all those bits and parts and puzzle pieces fill up the room and make the plants grow a little faster. resolving arguments with wrestling and pats on heads and pinches on sides: i love my cat too much. you put too much milk in your coffee. and when you lean in to give me kisses i almost forget the three minutes two hours earlier when we are sitting on my bed side by side, surrounded by all that suffocating silence, and i am having a panic attack because i cannot think of a single solitary thing to say and worry i never will.
