have you heard this about the life-saving properties of duct tape? about the importance of having a Plan?

last night brian and becky and i stood in our kitchen trying to determine which room would make the best bunker. i imagined us blocking off rooms with patterned sheets and stuffing crevices with old lady towels and sending the cats out like canaries in a coal mine, but i don't think i could go through with that.

we decided to buy some things this weekend just because it's a good idea to have water and batteries and the like around. for earthquakes or nuclear episodes or whatever.

then i drank too much wine and threw up.
