|| fare thee well, sweet sony xplod ||

the damage:

*one busted window, with small pieces cascading across the back seat of my tight ride like diamonds or teeth or em shatterproof glass

*one stolen sony xplod (line over the o to ensure maximum exxtremeness of the word) removable face tape deck stereo

*one stolen discman with tape adaptor

*one inadvertently stolen clinic 'walk with thee' EP that i liked enough

*one mixed tape meant to be sent by post to a good jh-brand mixed-tape appreciating friend.

now. i like to think that the events which took place sometime between 10:08 pm and 7:47 am last night/this morning (although the muddy footprints in the back seat indicate dastardly actions took place sometime around 3:22 am, when it was raining and evil was afoot on 8th street) have everything to do with the whispered undercurrents that there were the makings of the most intergalactically spectacular mixed tape in that unassuming 98 ford escort. that such a mixed tape could not get out into the world for it would change music and mixed tape cover design as we know it (so. effing cute. complete with robin's egg blue construction paper and white colored pencil and my very best handwriting.).

surprisingly, officer stephen was not interested in including such a prodigious mixed tape in the police report. officer stephen just wanted the pricy stuff, not the price-less.

jb: a new mixed tape is in the works. will be sent within stronghold box that can withstand petty thieves and international treachery.

on the bright side: they didn't take the tambourine or boggle box or first three chapters of my novel. i am getting a sweet cd player with remote control(? so i can sit in my backseat and change channels?) to replace the unfortunate sony xplod. i get to stay home from work today. while walking with officer stephen to my poor escort, a very foxxy boy passed us and i smiled at him the only way a girl can when walking the streets with a copper. reading rainbow is on right now, and brian and i just sang the theme song in the most soulful voices berkeley has ever heard.
