nothing to report really, except i am now madly in love with joni mitchell who happens to a. be the loveliest lady ever, b. look hauntingly like me mum way back in 1969, c. was on the tv last night by way of pbs documentary that made me cry and cry. and meowsy was sitting with me and was all 'quit your crying, hoser! there is nothing cry-worthy about this.' and i said 'but look at her, meow! she looks just like mum and look at the way she looks at graham nash and oh did you see those pictures of her ice skating in that black beret? how could that be anything short of cosmically magical? let's be her when we grow up.'
sigh. sometimes i could get so mad that i didn't inherit any of the willowy never-wear-any-make-up long wheat hair my-mummy-looked-like-joni mitchell genes.
