the distinct feeling of having one's heart held underwater. drowning, although not in that gruesome real-life lung-collapsing way, more of a scene in a nice tapestry or old library book: "heart drowning; fetch lifesaver or love potion." ice floes and walruses and narwhales and a heart, all bobbing along, languishing in a saltwater way, allowing currents and weather patterns to stir them up and distract them for a bit.
