|| thank you, r.b. ||

i am trying to do homework.

i went to two stores and bought one blouse, two shirts, one sweatshirt, and one black jacket. i made the blouse short-sleeved and altered the sweatshirt somewhat successfully. i walked to the corner store and bought orangina. i sat on the porch with becky and attempted the friday new york times crossword puzzle unsuccessfully. i did a load of laundry. i loved on meow meow until she bit me. i attempted two new hairstyles. i talked to sara on the phone and told her i couldn't go to the movies because of so much homework. i looked through two richard brautigan books in hopes of a good quote to express typographically. listen:

Sonnet

The sea is like
an old nature poet
who died in a public latrine.
His ghost still
haunts the urinal.
At night he can
be heard walking
around barefooted
in the dark.
Somebody stole
his shoes.

i am going to write it down and send it to my dad.

and then i'm going to do homework.
