i am drinking this tea that tastes exactly like the outside: anise and eucalyptus and hopscotch and crocheted yarn. the park across the street from our childhood home. wildly dangerous playground equipment (aluminum and concrete. sand and bottle caps.) and my dad walking us to the fields to play baseball or fly kites.
kelly drove to our parents' today and i am rather jealous of her at the moment. she is sitting on the couch and pilfering crosswords from the stack of newspapers my dad keeps by his chair. mummy is talking her ear off and she is rolling her eyes.
i would pay one hundred dollars to sleep on that awful futon in the sewing room tonight. the black quilt and laverne the cat and the refrigerator sounds coming from the other side of the wall.
