|| king kong and narnia spoiler alert. ||

i walked out of the part when the mighty king kong fell on skull island. i told michael i would meet him outside when the movie let out, in an hour and forty-five minutes, and walked out holding my coat and sobbing.
i can't handle the cruelty to animals.
and it reminded me of meow meow being put to sleep.
i went to the ladies' and pulled myself together and decided to sneak into another movie. i sat in the last row of narnia and took my coat off just in time to see aslan the lion getting shorn by the imps and laid out on the stone table.
i spent a lot of time in the parking lot.
(the funniest thing was that i was almost able to recite the dialog for narnia word-for-word. i haven't read the book in twenty years and haven't seen any cinematic form of the story in at least ten, but it all came to me a second before each line was spoken.)
(they really should get an academy award for the costume design of the ice queen. the most magnificent costumes i have ever seen.)
(naomi watts should not get an academy award for playing a character who would let all of those stupid men hurl chloroform and grappling hooks at kong. and for never stroking his arm hair like i longed to.)
(not to be weird about it.)
when the movie was over i asked michael how the movie ended. he said kong got away. driving home he said just kidding he died.
i feel i made the right decision.
